The Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit is currently recruiting for seasonal LTE Visitor Service Associates to provide customer service to forest visitors from the contact stations at Mauthe Lake and Long Lake Recreation Areas, as well as, at the Henry S. Reuss Ice Age Visitor Center and Forest Headquarters facility through October 31. The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for greeting park visitors, selling vehicle admission stickers, registering campers, fielding questions about the park or property and recreation opportunities, along with a variety of other administrative and financial duties. Scheduling is flexible with 8 - 40 hours per week available, pending candidate preference.

From Forest Superintendent Samantha Lindquist - 

I am elated to announce that a new park manager has been selected for the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit, Paige Ballard! Paige joined the Northern Unit team today. She will be stationed at the forest headquarters and taking on the duties of office administration and leading our visitor services team.

Paige is excited to be the new park manager at Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit. She started her career with the DNR as an LTE for Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit from 2014 to 2019 while earning her degree at UW-Madison. In June of 2019, she left the DNR to pursue a full-time position at the Milwaukee County Zoo. There she spent her time learning various operational and administrative duties for one of the most popular zoos in the nation with over 1.2 million visitors annually. In fall of 2022, Paige came back to the DNR when she accepted a Park Ranger position at Peninsula State Park. Paige and her husband Joe both grew up in Kewaskum and are happy to be moving back home!
